Hiroko’s painting of our beloved Allie Girl touches our hearts. She has captured Allie’s personality, character, and the very essense of our beautiful, loving, and loyal family member. We will treasure this forever! Thanks Hiroko!

Hiroko and “Paws & Paint” saved me (!) and made my brother’s birthday a wonderful success!
After fretting over what gift to give a brother who has everything, I was inspired at the last minute to consider having a pet drawing done of his beloved dog Degen.  Thank the LORD I found the “Paws & Paint” website.  Not only did I hear back from Hiroko quickly, she was happy and willing to fulfill my strange request—to have a *drawing* done, not a painted picture (!).
On top of that, she was able to complete the work before my brother’s birthday.  YEA!!!
Most of all… I have to stress how wonderful it was to meet and work with Hiroko.  It was one of the absolute best gifts *and* experiences.  She is truly a sweetheart of a person as well as a hugely talented artist; her amazing work speaks for itself, and she did not shy away from my ‘custom’ order nor the time deadline.  She really saved me and was an absolute pleasure with whom to work.
My brother loved his drawing (framed very quickly by Jerry’s Artarama in Ft. Collins), and we did too— she captured his pup’s “essence”, without ever having met the dog.  She somehow was able to portray Degen’s character and, well, personality (!) as well as creating just a stunning piece of art to view.  It is just beautiful!  I cannot thank her enough.
I am so blessed to have found “Paws and Paint”.  I will absolutely contact Hiroko again in the future for any—and I mean *any*—custom artwork (drawing, painting or otherwise).  I am truly looking forward to when I can work with her again.
Thank you, Hiroko… for your talent but even more so for your gentle spirit.

Hiroko was such a pleasure to work with doing a large commissioned piece of our dear dogs Yukon & Rusty, as her collaborative process working with us to create her art was truly appreciated.  Her attention to detail, and ability to transform our dogs to a painting that really captures their true appearances, and expressions, is just masterful.  We love our painting!!

The painting was a smash for my husband’s 40th birthday gift!  He said it was the first time a gift has ever brought him to tears.  We both found the painting a breathtaking likeness of Mac & Winnie, capturing their physical appearance very accurately, but the most striking fact of the painting was how she chose and painted images that illustrated their personalities, making the painting somehow alive.  Wonderful work!  Thanks so much.

I have had two portraits done by Paws & Paint and couldn’t be happier.  One of my dogs passed away shortly after his portrait was completed, and it has brought me so much comfort and joy while I have been mourning his death.  Hiroko does such a fantastic job, she works with you every step of the way to make sure you’re complebely satisfied.  I’ve seen nothing that compares to her portraits anywhere.  Not only will these portraits remind you of your pet, they are fun and innovative pieces of art!  I truly can’t say enough positive things about the experience as a whole and the end product itself.

This was the birthday gift to top all birthday gifts!  My husband loved the portrait of our two dogs.  Hiroko captured the personalities and subtle features of each dog perfectly – from the curve of Aksel’s hind paws and his non-stop action to Weila’s mismatched eye color and aloofness.  The portrait is unmistakably of our kids.  I hadn’t realized how much correspondence I would have with the artist.  We went back and forth many time and dozens of photos and draft images were exchanged.  Hiroko was extremely easy to work with, had good artistic input and really made my scattered ideas come to life.  Thank you!

We were both absolutely thrilled to see portraits of Pisco and Lobo!! My husband really loves them, we can’t wait to find the perfect location to hang them up so that we can enjoy them daily.  They are so accurate and beautiful, you really captured both of their appearances as well as their personalities so perfectly.  My husband said that these paintings were the best gifts he could have gotten. I am sending the link that is on your website to my friends so that they can see the paintings, and so that they can see the beautiful work you do. I feel that you charge such a reasonable price for such fantastic work.  Thank you so much, I am so glad that I found your website, and we will be enjoying these paintings forever!

Thank you so very much for the beautiful painting of my sweet girls.  Everyone who has seen it remarks how amazing it is that you were able to  capture not only the essence of their physical beauty, but you also captured that spirit that lived inside of them.  The day that this picture was taken was one of their happiest!  These girls celebrated life every moment but never more than when they had a chance to take a walk to the creek near our home.
Sophie.....always ready to play, always  vigilant, ready to pounce into the water, a profoundly happy dog!  And Maddie....sweetly waiting for Sophie's lead, love oozing from her shy eyes, more interested in what her "humans" were doing than the ball floating down the water.
Now, they are gone.  I am still healing from losing them but this picture is a reminder to me every day that they had a gloriously happy life and it helps me to remember this.
Thank you again.

We absolutely love the painting we commissioned from Paws & Paint entitled “Three Girls” – the painting captures the essence of each of our dogs!  We are already planning to order paintings as Christmas presents for our friends.

As someone who does portraits as a hobby, I know how difficult it can be to truly capture a subject.  The portrait you did of our dog, Max is remarkable.  You captured not only his looks, but also his spirit and personality.  More than just a painting, this is a piece of art that will stay in our family and always have meaning to us.
Thank you,
– Paul  (Fort Collins, CO)

Thank you for a happy picture – seeing it makes me happy, if only briefly.
I love my dog chasing the ball, and I hope to see more in the future. When I saw the happy dog in local newspaper pages, I knew I had to have that painting.
Happy Pictures!
(The Louvre was wonderful and interesting, but no picture made me happy.)

We did receive the portrait of our dog Quinne.  It looks great.  Quinne had a special look to her face and although this style is not supposed to be a photograph, I wanted to make sure it had that same “feel” to it.  I think you captured it well.  Your process is very good.  I really like the way you send updates as you go and solicit feedback.  This time around, I knew not to get nervous when we got the draft with the hollow eyes.  Honestly, I am surprised that you give your customers as many opportunities to give you feedback. That part is very good.  Thanks.

The picture I ordered of our dearest Jessie reminds us so of her spirit and all those memories we have.  We miss her but seeing her picture brings a smile to our faces.
